The Leadership Arena organically evolved from my previous business profile, Mountain Ash Executive Development, which I started back in the early 2000s.
However, as I pursued further post graduate studies in leadership and psychology over the last six years, together with the extraordinarily generous client feedback I received over the last decade+, my sense of purpose and organisational vision tended to lean more toward a focus around leadership development, rather than executive development per se.
A chance coffee discussion, with a valued colleague in a small cafÃ© in Melbourne, allowed the conversation to bounce around a few ideas around the word âleadershipâ as I felt it was important for the business to reflect the focus of learning.
My sense of the word had to reflect inclusivity, and the challenges and highs one can experience via the engagement of deep, meaningful leadership. Particularly with oneâs perception around self.
The word âarenaâ came up in conversation and that was it. You know when you know it feels right!
